Poetry: Broken Dreams
February 11, 2022
Picking up all my shattered dreams, I was deciding what to do with them, when I saw a door open
in front of me.
“What are you going to do with your shattered dreams?” one inquired as I stepped in.
“I haven’t decided yet,” I responded.
“Give them to me,” he suggested.
“What are you going to do with them?” I asked, handing them over.
“I will give them back to you.”
Stepping backward,
I replied, “No, I don’t want them”.
Then I saw and all the pieces were now one beautiful picture.
I was about to ask what had happened when I saw his nailed, scarred hands.
