Poetry: Inner Vision

June 25, 2021

Glancing down the road of life, I realized coming my way, Test and Trial walking side by side. Searching around for another route to take, I realized that all the alternative routes pointed to dead ends. The only road that was available was the one that Test and Trial walked down.

“What do you see?” I heard the voice of my soul ask.

“I see struggles and tough times ahead,” I responded.

“What do you feel?” my soul questioned.

Speaking above a whisper, I answered, “I feel anxiety”.

“Now that you have looked from the outside, come within and look out,” my soul requested.

“What do you see now?”

Amazed at what I saw from within, I could not speak.

“What do you see now?” my soul asked again

“I recognize the Rewarder of my faith walking between Test and Trial,” I said.

“What do you feel now?” my soul urged.

 “Courage”

For we walk by faith, not by sight. II Corinthians 5:7

This is one of my favorite movie scenes. No matter how life comes at you, keep fighting. Courage!
