Discussion: Decisions…

By: Belinda M. Lane

If I could turn back the hands of time. If I could do life over again, what picture would my world look like presently? Every decision we make opens a door in the physical world, even the minor ones. Those decisions stem from what we believe is the right choice. From that choice, we determine the path. Where we are living, our lifestyle has all been based on a choice. To step away from a particular place or condition is a choice and to continue is also a choice.

It’s not that people are so different from who we are, it’s that they make different decisions. Two individuals side by side can make the same decision at the same time and get totally opposite results. What we don’t see is what each hold within, which in turn causes the decision to flow through. We don’t see the experiences of the good, bad and ugly which directs different persons to the same spot and make the same decisions. Never consider the aptitudes in life or the depth of the valley which made them who they are now. Still, we see two individuals side by side making the exact same decision, and joy overtakes one and spells disaster for the other.

What we hear a lot is people blaming someone or something for where they are in life. Let’s look at when someone leaves home to go out on their own, finally. Conversation is now I can live the way I prefer to live. Only to stare backward ten (10) or twenty (20) years still seeking the better life they assumed they would have on their own. What was our focal point in our decision making? What has our choices costed us as we look back or go forward? Is regret a place we maintain or are we still blaming someone for why we can’t proceed forward? forward?

What decision (s) have you made knowing it brought you into your destiny or moved you away from it? People have thrown their life away because it banged them up along the way. I have pointed out in separate discussions; getting money (millionaires and billionaires) doesn’t mean the individual is walking in their true destiny. The suicides in this community of wealth have showed this to be true.

As we are quickly moving towards the end of this year, what are we seeing? Where is the information coming from to establish our current decisions, distancing them apart from our life’s equation? Our old systems are still swaying and shaking, tossing us from side to side from months into years. Many are now understanding what has taken place in the past doesn’t matter now. Life over the recent months has allowed us no time to ponder in the past tense. We must concentrate on what’s current and future of how we will strengthen our lives as we move forward and for some who must rebuild their lives.

Being informed while looking forward has become a mandate; in order to proceed forward in wisdom. It’s vital we set aside the weights we have been bearing. I have shared in a past discussion of when I had cataracts removed from my eyes. For a period of two (2) weeks, the doctor’s instructions were not to pick up any weight over five (5) pounds. Some would not even consider that such a light weight as being heavy. But with this surgery, it could affect me substantially physically. As we go forward, it’s essential not to pick up and or at the very least be mindful of the certain amounts of weight we carry, because it will influence your vision. My ophthalmologist told me she could look into my eyes and see I wasn’t drinking enough water. She pointed out how water keeps your eyes hydrated and flushes out toxins. WOW! Water will wash away the residue of irritations of the eyes, which would keep us from seeing clearly.

I believe the season we are in, has propelled many to understand what is past is absolutely passed. Standing in the present-day looking forward, even in the previous state, many saw where they gained survival techniques. With a sigh of relief, we must live more intentionally. The recent years have been a “Forward March” for the entire world. Yet, there are still too many champions sleeping with their past!
