Why are young men dying in our cities, fighting over property that they don’t own? Why do these same young men settle their difference with guns when we used to do it with our fists? Why should they fight at all? Why do they not come together to settle these differences and move together as a united front?
Why am I hated for the color of my skin when biologically we are the same? Why do you hate when hate is not an emotion you are born with? They teach it out of ignorance that is generationally passed down and excepted as fact. Why do we not accept the scripture, “Love Thy Neighbor as Thyself” when that is a fact that we should believe?
Why are people that profess they are Christians not showing the example? I am not talking about the slip of the tongue or poor judgement. I am talking about churches that are not teaching the congregation to “Love their fellow man” but promoting political figures who teach the opposite. And speaking of political figures……
Why are we worshiping political figures like they are idols when they speak more of separation than unity? Why does it seem that as a nation we are moving backward instead of forward? Why do we seem lacking in common sense when we say that we see clearly, but actions don’t seem to match what they see?
Why does it seem that we have so many missing children? Why is it that children of color and ethnicities don’t make the evening news but find constant posts on social media? Are they not as important as those that make the news? Are we not All God’s Children?
Why is history (which has already happened) being shaped to meet someone’s view? History has always had it dark moments. By its very definition, is either the study of or a series of past events. You can no more (honestly) shape what has happened than you can of what will be. It is history and not knowing what has passed leaves us doomed to make the same mistakes.
Why don’t we embrace each other and live together? Why don’t we love instead of hate, despite our differences? Why don’t we act like the Christians, we say we are? Still being thankful for the ones who show the example of love, not only in words. Why don’t we worship The One True God when man is dust and fallible? Why don’t we take care of all the children of the nation and the world, when they are our future? Why don’t we learn our history, so we can live better and make a more prosperous world?
